Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 July 2026
These terms govern use of VerdLynx (“the Service”), operated by Pineapple Labs LLC. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organisation you represent.
The Service
VerdLynx helps organisations manage packaging compliance under EU Regulation 2025/40 (PPWR): tracking SKUs, verifying artwork, scoring recyclability, generating digital product passports and declarations of conformity, tracking substance compliance, and resolving packaging at sorting facilities.
Not legal or regulatory advice
The Service is a compliance-assistance tool. Its outputs — including AI-generated verifications, grades, extractions and drafts — are produced by automated systems and must be reviewed by a qualified person before being relied on. They do not constitute legal advice, and passing an automated check does not guarantee that your packaging complies with any regulation. Your organisation remains solely responsible for its regulatory obligations and for the accuracy of documents it signs or submits.
Accounts and acceptable use
- Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account and station keys.
- Only upload content your organisation has the right to process.
- No attempts to breach security, probe other tenants’ data, resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
- We may suspend accounts that break these rules or create risk for other customers.
Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the billing page; changes take effect with proration, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Plan limits (SKUs, seats, monthly AI actions and similar) are enforced by the Service.
Your data
Your organisation owns the content it uploads. You grant us the rights needed to host and process it to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Aggregated, non-identifying sorting statistics (e.g. how often a packaging format is scanned) may be used to improve the Service.
Our intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service — its software, design, and the VerdLynx name and marks. We grant your organisation a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription, subject to these terms; nothing here transfers our intellectual property to you. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the Service without obligation to you.
Availability and liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including regulatory penalties, lost profits or lost data.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the product or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature survive termination (liability, data ownership) survive.
General
Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as outages of third-party infrastructure, natural events, or acts of government. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us on their subject matter. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect, and our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes arising out of the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory laws of your own jurisdiction.
